Job Title: Mentor/Barista
Location: Reunion Coffee House – 10601 Reunion Pkwy, Commerce City, CO 80022
Wage: Starting at $17-$19 after tips
Reunion Coffee House is operated by CUP. As part of Community Uplift Partnership (CUP), we invest in young people through hands-on job training, life skills coaching, and a healthy, faith filled work environment that helps them thrive both personally and professionally.
Position Summary: The Mentor role is a unique blend of skilled barista work (we train you) and intentional relationship-building. Mentors serve alongside young team members (ages 16–24), modeling professionalism, customer service excellence, and positive work habits, while offering guidance, encouragement, and accountability.
Work Schedule:
· Monday - Thursday: 6:30 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
· Lead by Example: Prepare and serve coffee and food items with excellence, demonstrating best practices in quality, efficiency, and hospitality.
· Coach in Real Time: Provide on-shift training, feedback, and encouragement to mentees to help them grow in skills, confidence, and workplace readiness.
· Build Trust: Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where young employees feel safe learning and making mistakes.
· Foster Growth: Share practical life skills and career insights through everyday conversations and intentional mentoring moments.
· Support Operations: Assist with opening/closing duties, restocking, cleaning, and maintaining a positive work environment.
· Uphold the Mission: Embody CUP’s faith based values of assuming the best in others, remaining curious, letting the best ideas rise to the surface, empowerment, and community service in all interactions.
Qualifications –
· Over age 25 years old
· Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach
· Passion for working with and mentoring young adults
· Ability to handle busy shifts with grace and positivity
· Reliable, punctual, and committed to the posted schedule
